Writing is a marvelous way to make a living. I get to speak with intriguing people, pull together facts, and weave the threads into stories. In what other career could I interview a jet-setting CEO on Monday and visit a swamp with a biologist on Friday?

Before turning to freelance writing and journalism in 2002, I worked on staff at NYC publishing houses and Dallas firms as a senior editor, production editor, and technical writer.

After hours, you'll find me puttering around the kitchen, lounging with our resident menagerie, and listening to my husband rhapsodize in blue on his Steinway.
