I'm Wendy
Lyons Sunshine, an award-winning writer
based in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Clients turn to
me for:
- Assistance
with editorial projects
I've helped
psychologists author an award-winning book, a leading nonprofit attract
new Web readers, engineers revise technical
reports, and an environmental professor draft
a
textbook.
- Reporting,
writing, and photography
I've reported
on conservation, vision
correction, entrepreneurs and more
for ScientificAmerican.com, OnEarth, D CEO,
Preservation,
AARP Magazine,
Health, Audubon.com, American Way, MSN.com, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth Weekly, and others. From
time to time, I also provide photos.
I
enjoy sleuthing out details, explaining complex
topics, organizing information, and
crafting compelling scenes. As a former managing editor, I respect deadlines
and
deliver accordingly.
I
have a
B.A. in English (with
honors, phi beta kappa) from Rutgers, the State
University of New Jersey, and am currently pursuing an M.A. in technical
communication at the University of North Texas.
I've taught writing to college students and am a member of the American Society of Journalists
& Authors,
Society of Environmental Journalists, and
National Association of Science Writers.
