Complex Acidulant(Various Acidifiers)

Diarrhea in the animal is primarily a function of physiological and microbiological occurrences in the small and large intestine. Traditional acidifiers will not reach the intestinal tract to modify intestinal tract pH, since they will be buffered by feed ingredient components, bile in duodenum, and somewhat diluted in the gastric acidic environment, so they may be relatively ineffective as a preventative measure.

COMPLEX ACIDULANT

(Feed additives, not for human/ medicinal use, for use in animal feed only)

Main Ingredients

Lactic Acid, Fumaric Acid, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, and a Special Excipient.

Appearance

Micro-Encapsulated, Yellowish Pellet.

--- The acidic components of the micro-encapsulated COMPLEX ACIDULANT are released in a multi-stage process along the entire length of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract.

--- COMPLEX ACIDULANT was designed to aid in the prevention of animal diarrhea (primarily in baby piglets), based on this principle of a multi-stage release of the micro-capsule acidic components.

The Purpose of an Acidifier is to

   1. Lower the feed pH and increase feed intake;

   2. Lower the stomach pH, increase the release of pepsin, and improve protein digestion;

   3. Minimize or prevent the incidence of diarrhea.

Will traditional acidifiers and their methods of application effectively prevent the diarrhea?

Diarrhea in the animal is primarily a function of physiological and microbiological occurrences in the small and large intestine. Traditional acidifiers will not reach the intestinal tract to modify intestinal tract pH, since they will be buffered by feed ingredient components, bile in duodenum, and somewhat diluted in the gastric acidic environment, so they may be relatively ineffective as a preventative measure.

Product Characteristics

1. Acid release at various stages along the length of the GI tract, allowing for more acid to be delivered to the small and large intestine, in order to improve the intestinal tract environment. FULL- not only modifies gastric pH, but it can also help to adjust the intestinal tract pH.

2. Effectively prevents diarrhea, especially in young animals (i.e. – piglets).

3. Produced using an advanced micro-encapsulation technology; it can be included in feed in pellet form; it has a good flow rate; it is better for piglet feed intake than traditional acidifiers are, due to an absence of an offensive taste and odor.

4. It does not react with alkaline substances in the feed; it does not negatively affect the availability of other nutrients or have an adverse impact on machinery and equipment during feed processing
