Description

This product is a clear, colorless liquid.


Pharmacological Action

Hormonal drug. Intravenous or intramuscular administration of physiological doses of gonadorelin causes a significant increase in plasma luteinizing hormone (LH) and a slight increase in follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), promoting the maturation and ovulation of oocytes in the ovaries of female animals, or the development of testes and spermatogenesis in male animals.

Following intramuscular injection in dairy cows, the drug is rapidly absorbed at the injection site, quickly metabolized into inactive fragments in plasma, and excreted in urine.


Action and Use

Hormonal drug. It stimulates the adenohypophysis of animals to release follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). It is used for the treatment of ovarian inactivity and for the induction of synchronized estrus in dairy cows.


Dosage and Administration

Intramuscular administration. For dairy cows diagnosed with ovarian inactivity, the Ovsynch protocol shall be initiated immediately. For estrus induction, the Ovsynch protocol may be started around day 50 postpartum.

The Ovsynch protocol is as follows: on the first day of the protocol, administer 2–4 mL of this product per animal; on day 7, administer 0.5 mg of cloprostenol sodium; after 48 hours, administer the same dose of this product a second time; inseminate 18–20 hours later.


Adverse Reactions

No adverse reactions have been observed when used according to the prescribed route and dosage.


Precautions

(1) Prohibited for growth promotion use.

(2) Generally, other types of hormones shall not be used concurrently after administration of this product.

(3) Keep out of reach of children.


Withdrawal Period

Withdrawal time for cattle: 7 days; milk withholding time: 12 hours.
